In before search lock! =)

exedy twin is what most would recommend for your planned power level.

There is a lot of complaints around about the exedy twin. Be different. Try one of those spec stage 3+ kits. It's rated for near 600ft/lbs. It should hold 450 fine.

Dont you even come close to Spec clutches!!! The only problem people have been noticing recently is that it explodes!!!!!

Check out the old Spec thread to know how crappy they are

I would say the exedy twin. I daily drive on mine. Drives great and hooks better than my old ACT.

ACTs are good. SOME have lock out issues. I had a street disk setup for about a year and it never locked out. It was street driven on a daily basis and brought to the track. But in the end I snapped the input shaft assembly right off the disk. Shockingly the disk was still good.

As for the spec clutches. You will find both good and bad reviews. Just search for those. The bad part is that most are bad. Everything from mis-manufacturing, engagement issues, and the ones that went BOOM.

get a twin disc whatever you buy. I personally have a exedy twin with my hta35r. Its a little pricey but i'm glad i paid for it. Pedal feels almost stock, good luck getting that kind of feel with a ACT.

Exedy twin or Quartermaster, i'd lean more toward Exedy, once you get 35r i would convert to triple plate

If you have the money, the exedy triples are nice, I have rebuilt mine twice now starting with the clutch in my car around 12k I now have 91k so each clutch averaged around 39k or so. I never have had it slip. It actually does the opposite when it starts to go it becomes an on/off switch and starts chattering. The friction plates always had more on them, I think the floater/pressure plates start to get warped over time.
