Kelford 272 and stock turbo
I have a stock turbo EVO 8 MR. I plan on keeping the stock turbo with full bolt-ons. I am shopping for a cam that is great for daily driving but offers topend performance too. I notice a lot of you guys usually ditch GSC1 and HKS cams for a more aggressive profile. I figure I can grow into the Kelfords but maxium drviveablility is important (I do not wanted to upgrade valvetrain) I get mixed reviews on the Kelfords as far as driveablility, performance wise no complaints. If not I will settle for the GSC1 to help me hit the 350whp mark but I'd like some more room to grow that # too because we all get bored after awhile.
if im not mistaken ams did a cam test or two and kelford did really well if not the best of ones they tested....i dont think you will get 350 without maybe meth / or 280s or something like that as did not and im bolted up...
I'd take the the newly revised GSC S2's over the Kelford 272's (both are fine to the stock rev-limiter with the stock valve springs). Both will definitely be overkill for your setup and you'll sacrifice low-speed drivability with either. From reading your post it sounds like the S1's would be a smarter choice for you.
S2's need upgraded valvetrain
Kelfords are the best cam avaliable for everything from a stock turbo to 6262 or 35r. They have the broadest powerband of any cam we have tested. They would be your best option

So, were both the S2's for the VIII's as well as those ground for the IX's recently revised by GSC? I had read that the IX S2's had been revised , but I wasn't sure about the S2's for the VIII's.
