Ya I would stop driving it until it's fixed. There is a video on streetfire or youtube of a guy reving his friebird (i think) and the clutch explodes and pieces of it go through the floor board and into the dashboard.
If you cant replace it yourself, take it to a shop you trust. This has "sucker soak" written all over it. By that I mean that they will try to soak you if you look like a sucker.

If the car drive fine and what not, it *could* be that the housing was dropped while the new clutch was going in. That would at least explain why things internally are ok but not so much on the outside. Either way, I wouldn't drive it until its resolved.

It's already removed and in the process of replacing all damaged parts, and this time a twin disc clutch....
and pistons, rod, cams, valves(1mm over), port 'n polish, bigger turbo, bov, wg.....
