It doesnt have to be an MR turbo. If you want a stock turbo any Evo 9 turbo will work they are all the same. The Evo 8 turbo has a smaller turbine housing. You could use a Evo 8 turbo.

Also, all Evo 9 have ACD and only newer model Evo 8 have ACD. 2003 Evo did not come with ACD.

so you saying that any tcase that is ACD will work, as long it is ACD equiped? I'll check with mitsubishi before I'll buy it anyway, but its good to know before time...

But, with using Evo 8 turbo, wouldnt my tune be messed up?

8 and 9 cars have lots of differences, even if it looks almost the same from outside, even diverter valves are different parts from 8 to 9...

Any tcase will work ACD or non ACD. With a non ACD unit you can remove the ACD pump and reservoir. If I were you I would go with a ACD unit.

Same with the turbo. Try to get a Evo 9 turbo. You can put a Evo 8 turbo on and the tune wont be that much off but youll loose some power.

The bov are different like you said. The 8s have plastic ones and the 9mr has the good metal one that can hold more boost.
