evo 9 mr questions

And out I go from supraforums, to test new waters... I purchased evo 9 mr. It is stolen-recovery car and its missing turbo manifold and turbo itself, also front differential. Is there a difference in manifold and turbo between regular evo8 and evo9 mr? Also same question about diff.

diff is different, evo 9 has acd, evo 8 does not

manifolds are the same. Evo 9 has a different turbo, larger exhaust housing, makes more power

thanks guys for fast replys.

So exhaust flange is the same on 8 and 9's?

I was also thinking about getting an aftermarket turbo for it but cant decide what I want. I want a turbo that will boost stock amount of boost at the beginning with no tune on the car, and that I could cranck the boost up in the long run. What are my turbo options.

Im sorry guys if Im askin gquestion that might be answered before, but I have enough of headacke not to get this car together. Engine is almost dry with oil and oil is pitch black, will have to work on that and check if the block is alrite...

you need to search as far as turbo's go

you can't just turn up the boost without a tune unless you want to blow up your car

no, thats not what i mean. As I mentioned above my car is missing turbo, so I decided to go with something new aftermarket stuff. I want a turbo that will be suitable to run on stock boost levels, and could be cranked up a bit more after I get my tactrix cable for tune. I just need a rough idea, so that I can start shopping

My car is missin turbo oil lines. What AN should I go with for feed and drain? Also what is the thread size on the head for the feed?

car holds clear title. 53k miles Got it for $10500 shipped. It was stolen and found, missing seats, bumper, turbo, and tranfer case is taken apart. Body is in great condition. I think I got decent deal.

you can use a non ACD differential if you want. then you can remove the pump etc...

I would use an ACD diff if it were me though you can probably find one. (lots of these cars get wrecked)

so ok my car is 06 mr and you guys are sayng that I can put any transfer case in it, as long it is ACD, doesnt matter what year car it comes from as long it is ACD?

And about the turbo...
OK, I know that MR turbo is bigger, than regular evo. Could I still use evo 8 turbo on MR? I see lots of them on sale for cheap.
What about non internaly gated turbos? Any input on that would be greatly apreciated (DD, with stock boost, for now)

so Im starting gather all the things to complete my car... I already got the new stock exhaust manifold, and now I need a turbo. Was not impressed with megan stuff

So I was looking at the green and red ones, they are out of my budget. My car is 2006 MR and I looked at the part numbers from mitsubishi. 2003-04 turbos are the same, 05 different, and 06 different.

What are the main differences between these turbos? Can I run 03-04, 05 with stock tune? Its hard to find 06 mr turbo for decent price, so I tough of the alternative...
