Competition Clutch Stage 2 Carbon Kevlar Clutch Input

like the title says

Anyone have any input on this clutch, the price is incredible ... so when i see something that much lower then everything else, im naturally hesitant ...

Competition Clutch Stage 2 Carbon Kevlar Clutch - $337.50
with ACT Street Lite - $612.50

Or a Exedy Organic Clutch Kit with Gruppe-S Flywheel 13.1lb - $625.00

Im kinda tossed and looking for any kinda input on these 2 setups.

Just FYI I ordered a Competition Clutch Stage 2 and ended up being deformed so I got upgraded to a C.C. Stage 3.5 and it engages HORRIBLY. The pedal no matter position engages near the bottom at all times.

Other than that, it's been fine for 17k miles so far.

Ended up going with the Comp Stage 2 with Comp Flywheel. Reasons are hard to relay, but i talked with Marti at SBR in depth about his personal experience with them and the install experiance he has with both. In the end i think the 2 biggest factors were that that Comp Stage 2 has a better disc of the 2 and over all i was on a budget and it was the better price.

Hope you have better luck than I have. I've got a CC stage 2 in my IX and I hate it. Serious high RPM lockout at 7k and it gets hot very easily. Launching it without it getting stinking hot is pure luck.

Saving my pennies for an Exedy twin, what I should have done in the 1st place instead of going 'frugal' with the CC.

Car is DD, No Track time, just basic mods, took the stock clutch 83k miles .... so i wasnt looking for something thats gonna take a daily beating, or thats gonna be launched.

I'm buying that exact same clutch, stage 2... for my DD evo, w/ 91k miles.

I haven't had to launch the evo in 4years, since they closed the track here.....
so I don't need a race clutch... just a good oem replacement.

The Stage 2 makes for a great OEM replacement on a stock or lightly modded car, especially with a Comp flywheel. I personally have the Stage 3 with Comp flywheel and its been a good daily-driver clutch capable of holding plenty of power.

I run a comp stage 3 with an ACT prolite flywheel. No problems whatsoever. I have about 6,000 miles or so on it. It holds good on a lightly modded evo.
