Derp wow I never got back to this thread I suck. Thanks for all the info guys, I have another question below.

My trans is at Shep now and I've decided on the Twin HD.

My launch style is a smooth, yet quick slip out. I dont just drop the clutch nor do I try to spin the tires prior to launching, I hate when people suggest drop the clutch to launch, its so bad for the poor drivetrain

I drive my car to and from school and work every day, and put on just under 100miles a day total between driving around to hang with friends and stuff. I really dont go to the track very often, I just want to be sure that when its time to launch it will hold. Im trusting right now that it should hold the launch.

Heres my next question

High RPM lockout. Ive heard its a problem with the twin HD's. Has everyone experienced it with a twin HD or were they isolated incidents?? Are we talking like 9000rpm shifts? Because I will be having my rev limiter set first to 7900 on the stock springs, however if and when I do aftermarket springs which may be as soon as I do the FP Red and FP4R's in the summer, I will be having my rev limiter set to 8500. I dont want to put this clutch in and have it deny my shifts over 8000, I saw Ernie mention something which makes me nervous!

I told Trevor at Shep Ill go with the Twin HD, but now that I got to thinking about the high rpm lockout issues, I may change my mind again. How do the Triples behave at high rpm shifting?

I'm curious about high rpm lockout as well. I'll be ordering a clutch in a week or two, and I'm still trying to decide which one to get.

I use the AMS push style conversion on my Exedy HD twin and shifts at 9200RPM are NOT a problem.

Ahhhh, interesting. Im gonna call Shep tomorrow and ask them about it. No silly clutch pop clip to fiddle with either then.

I assume you're happy then with the push conversion?? No hiccups or anything weird that made you go "ahhh dammn" or anything like that?
I know that QMs 7.25 twin is a push style and no one has ever mentioned anything going wrong with the hydraulic tob or anything, so are the Exedy's with the push conversion care free as well?

Did you have to install a pedal stop so as not to overstroke? did it change the engagement any: Easier, different, harder, better, etc?

I like this thread, because I'm going through the same thing right now. I have a QM and I hate it..you and I do about the same amount of driving, and I want a clutch that could keep up. I dont track much, so I guess mine will last longer. This will be my third clucth, so I have to make sure it's right.
