12.4 @ 110 mph with dynoflash!!!

A guy from our big dyno day yesterday rolled his whip at Englishtown drag strip today and made a very impressive 12.4 @ 110 mph

My hats off the the guy STI KILLER on this forum - thats an amazing result for just a reflash on a stock evo !!

This is the guy - two thumbs up !

The guy had exactly 267 whp - I think he had an intake on there and a bov - but he is a vendor and really knows his stuff on the driving side - still and unbelievable result !

We got him 20 peak hp gain with the flash and almost 30 whp at 7,000 rpms

and all that with a super conservative 10.7 a/f !!!!!!!

Sorry but that does not sound possible, 110mph trap speed w/ only 267whp on a dynojet. Hard to believe.

All I know is that I tuned his car yesterday and it made 267 to the wheels and he has just posted his results on the tri-state regional forum of 12.4 @ 110 mph !!!!

Unless he attached a rocket on the trunk - then thats how much power he made !!!!

BTW PEAK whp can be deceptive - its the area under the curve and the low end power that makes for times like that !

He said he would be scanning them up soon

We already had a fellow driving a 12.6 at 108 with a totally stock evo with the dyno flash so this result is within reason - but I admit is a VERY good time !

yes but even if the area under the curve is 266WHP all the way to redline it still has to accelerate a 3400 # 1,320 feet. In the most optimistic circumstances I could swollow the 12.4 if the guy was a superfreak driver but you of all people know that <270 HP cant get 110 mph traps without N2o or flinstoning it

I belive the guy as he is a vendor - we'll see when he posts the slip !

To me 110 mph dont seem that fast anymore - unless we are talking about the 1/8th

the carbon monoxide is getting to you You initially misquoted the times as 12.6@108 when in fact the guy corrected you saying he ran a 12.8@106 now you reverted back to the original error.

BTW a guy at the local track was running 12.8@106 all night with a MBC and SAFC only. I wouldnt choose those mods for safety ect but thats >300 investment (used SAFC)

Thats the guy's post - you guys figure out if he's telling the truth

Your right about the 12.6 @ 108 and 12.8 @ 106 - I keep getting that backwards after the original post had it the wrong way around

And your right the fumes are very hard on my health - now I know whats wrong with that Shiv buddy of yours - irrverseable brain damage from too much dyno fumes!!!!!!!!!

BTW - if your party pal with the safc and mbc got those times then why is it so far fetched that my client got 12.4 @110???

My buddy at pruven got that time with his evo like the 1st day he had it way back in March

Even if he had the best area under the curve 267whp peak cannot run 110mph. Like the other guy said a excellent driver can run a quick ET but the trap speed is an indication of hp.

Exactly Im not doubting the dynoflash or no regard for safety approach(like the guy with the safc) at all. Im doubting that 266 HP straiget to redline can net 110 MPH in a 3400# (with driver) car. Everyone seemed very impressed with their dynoflashes this weekend

Hey why dont any tuners use filtermasks? HTH can yall go all day breathing that? On dynodays I can only watch 2-3 cars max up close before Im behind the shop throwing up and wishing to die

The Time is believable with a GREAT driver, I am a LITTLE iffy on the trap, which is basically 10MPH over stock.

108 would be max with a?f tuning on a stock car unles you tune for race gas.
