Mileage when doing a turbo swap
Ok I would like to know how many miles where on your car/motor when doing a Turbo swap(FP Red and FP Black chime in). And is the car still going? Kinda like miles when put on and if you still have the same set up what is the miles now.
Turbo<---->Miles when put on/ Miles to date (same turbo set up)
You all know what I mean and what I am trying to get at.

2005 evo8, swapped in evo IX turbo at ~45k miles, ran about 18k miles on E85 or alky, 29psi daily, no problems. Swapped in BBK Full @ 62k miles, car now has 79k on the odo, all is well
Take the time and do it right, you won't have to be swapping gaskets or fixing leaks every few months.

I am at 99k on my car with the stock turbo. But I am running meth and doing 400+ hp. Just wondering what other people have done and what mileage they did it in. I want to do a Turbo up grade but don't know If I should with the kind of mileage I have on my car. That is why I made this thread.

i have 42k miles on my car and i'm about to swap my stock turbo out for a ported red and some other mods..
in your case you should be putting your money towards a built motor imo.... 2.4
the stock turbo is pretty damn reliable
how many miles you been running the meth kit for?

I have 51,xxx on my 2004 Evo VIII. I am going to be swapping the stock turbo out for an FP Black.
I am currently doing the 60K service first(timing belt, water pump etc.) including the AMS race balance shaft delete before putting the new turbo in.
