use non synthetic junk oil.
Synthetic is too thin for the motor before the rings are seated properly.
We typically use a 20-50 or so depending on how we build the motor for initial start up and drive. Then we will drain and cut the filter open to check for any material inside the paper filter. Then we will go back with the same oil for 500miles then go to s synthetic

20W50? Sounds like a loose clearance motor, I just run regular mobil 5w20 as you wan't the oil te be real thin on inital start up so it can get to where it needs to go quickly and change it after the first 10 mins of run time to 10w30 regular for another 150 or so miles then again after 5-700.
I am **** about this stuff and swear by this method as it has never let me down plus you can never really get the oil passages in the crank and block totally clean which is why I do it so often.
Who built you motor? Lol
