Has anyone done speed density with the stock turbo and achieved a decent gain? a gain that makes the conversion worth the time and money? with the stock ecu

i wouldnt say its worth it if that is all you are doing at the time. bu if your throwing quite a few parts on at once and have to get tuned anyway. id say its def. worth it.

not a good bang for the buck unless you care about driveabilty a lot, especially if its your only change....I might do it in the future though.

I saw negligible gain. I gained 2mph in the quarter but the weather was slightly better as well. At stock turbo power levels the gain is small. However it sets you up for better driveability and tunability if used correctly.

On average we see 11whp gain with no other changes. I have seen as much as 15whp but its hard to say if it was entirely because of the SD.

Car one made 383whp with a MAF and all the bolt ons (Magnus, S2s, ported exhaust, Titek O2).

Car two made 383 with SD, S2s, stock intake manifold, AND a stock O2 housing.

Both were on 92 octane with a 28-29psi spike.

Bryan @ GST recently did a back to back test on a evo with the stock turbo. Result, wait till you upgrade your turbo. Not really worth it on the stock turbo.
