Evo 8 chasis&AEM + evo 9 longblock swap HELP

Hey evoM, I am wondering if anyone knows how to wire up Mivec with and evoviii harness to an evoviii AEM EMS. Or if it is possible to wire in the mivec directly to the aem or a switch??

Long story short, the stock block in my 2003 evo8 was pushed a little too far . 85,000 miles + 32psi 6262 precision turbo + 1 stressed rod bolt .. = spontaneous catastrophic damage... bent girdle, ruined crank, shot the rod out of the block wedged a piston literally into the cylider wall...

Came across an awesome almost unpassable deal on a brand new mivec longblock... now it sits inside the evo8 chasis with everything 8 hooked up and RUNNING on aem and previous tune. BUT If anyone knows how to or has any input some how hookin up the mivec actuator and mivec intake cam sensor to an evo 8 aem THAT WOULLDD BE IDEAL. lol

any other input or advice woluld be great too adjusting mivec parameters, switches, anything!. Thanks dsm FTW 30miles on block so far

You'll need either the Evo9 ECU or get the AEM for the 9. You need to have an ECU that has a mivec map. It's not like VTEC where it's all on the same name and the crossover is done via oil pressure. MIVEC is a cam timing process so there is a seperate map in the ECU for it. Sell the AEM, get a stock 9 ECU and get it tuned.

But you can load an evo 9 map onto the aem. So that's why I was thinkin it was possible without a harness and changing the ecu/ems
