oil filter sandwich adapter?

Anyone suggest a good oil filter sandwich adapter? I have the BLOX and it's leaking where the gauge sensors thread into the adapter, any other suggestions?

I think you should specify which sensor you are using

I'm trying to find a new one, I couldn't tell you about the old one besides the fact that its a blox.

Is there a specific one people have had better luck with?

Try using teflon tape around the sensor threads. I use a Greddy and it works great.

I suggest this: http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/A...mance.com.html

I wouldn't run anything that puts the oil filter closer to the road.

I used to have a sandwich plate...damn thing was a POS and leaked. From my research they always do, it's not if, it's when. I run what MR suggested and have it ziptied on the firewall up behind the intake manifold off one of the existing plugged holes in the housing and no issues at all since I swapped to that.

So this particular line hooks up to the end of the oil pressure sending unit, where does the other end hook up to actually get the pressure signal?

it goes into one of the stock oil filter block ports and the other end to a pressure or temp sensor.

Sorry for all of the questions, but how many of these ports do our cars have? Can this same line be used for an oil temp gauge?

They also make these small fittings that screw into those 2 unused ports on the oil supply housing. I forgot who sells them. If you can find them, that would be your best bet.

I use a blox adapter and have for quite some time now. It's never leaked. As for being closer to the ground; it's still a good inch from surpassing the oilpan. Nothing to worry about there.

I believe there are two. I only use one for oil pressure. It depends on the sensor thread type if it works with the adapter i posted.

As for the closer to the ground comment, you are right as long as it isn't the lowest part of the motor you should be ok.

There are two bolts that can supply high pressure oil to turbos that are located on the oil filter housing. If you are not using those for your turbo just take one out and tap and dye it out to match the thread for your sensor, and install it. If you are using it for your turbo, I found a splitter you can install there to have two feeds. Since the pressure solenoid is not taking anything away from the actual flow of the source it should be just fine to run it there along with the turbo.

I just hated to think of something hitting the oil filter, or it starting to leak and I would have no knowledge. This way is secure, and you have the actual pressure inside the housing and/or supplying the turbo.

i have the prosport oil pressure gauge and it works fine. I think the prosport site tells you the thread pitch of the temp sender if that is the gauge you have. I believe the AMS line is for 1/8 NPT iirc
