I assume your car is a Daily Driver and you wish to have very well behaved cams as well thats why I wanted to know if they worked fine with the stock ecu.

I think GSC S3s should be good for your setup.

I think I may try the BF272's because I have them. But I will be installing behive/dual springs in the process so I will be able to change cams with ease at that point.

Trial and error?

My friend picked up some cams from MAperformance that GSC made custom specially for the 2.4, you might talk to them. I believe its a 274 cam, custom ground.

The stock ecu will handle jun272s with very little problems. A lot of guys are scared of big cams on the stock ecu, but there are ways to make them smooth.

Whats the purpose of having cams when u cant hear the sweet lope! . This however is not the issue for me , its the drivability that im concerned with as a Daily Driver. "BIG" cams come with duration which reduces vacuum. This can cause intermittent stalling and poor lowend drivability which I dont want. I prefer to lose some power while mantaining the near stock drivability with a less agressive cam.

In case you didn't know. A cam on a 2.0 that would make the 2.0 not drivable will not have the same effect on a 2.3 or 2.4. That same cam would be streetable on a 2.4. A 288 cam in a 2.4 would be like a 280 in a 2.0. Big motor need big cam!

That does help also but with these new high impedance injectors I bet I could make s3s idle good. Should be tuning mine today and I may be able to get some idle videos for you guys.

William, did you ever call Greg?

i talked to greg@gsc about cams for my 4088r 2.2 and he said the s3 will make less than the s2 until about 5,500-6,000 and will only peak 10-20 hp more. to me thats not really worth it to go with the s3.

Do a 274/280 combo. You will still have great spool and better topend
