Strokers - what cam profile is ideal?
I have been doing a lot of reading about cams and timing and piston speed and lift and all that fancy jazz.
All the common cams are designed around the 2.0. What actually happens to that cam when its used in say a 2.4(using it because its the largest volume difference)?
When building a 2.4 - Should a different cam be selected? Perhaps one with more lift? More duration and less lift? Etc?
Everyone seems to just use a kelford, or gsc2 or hks280 etc. But what changes in design profile are better(read - improve performance) when switching to the larger motors?
Not really looking for opinion - so much as I am facts.

I am using M2 on 2.3 + FpRed, but they were installed on stock block the differece after ECUtune was quite noticable also had with adjustable cam gears.

I'm running the S2 cams on my 2.4 setup and am very happy with the powerband (Specifically built for Daily Driver duties.) If I was building more of a dedicated track car, I'd probably go with a bigger cam! (S3's maybe) The larger displacement engines will gobble up as much airflow as you can stuff into the cylinders and a bigger cam is only going to help. Aaron from English Racing (JohnBradley) probably has the most experiance matching cam profiles with a specific combination of parts. Last I talked to him, he was using a cam modeling program to find the best airflow for a given engine displacement/combination.

Interesting. Any word on that as yet?
I would run a very large duration camshaft... maybe 20 degrees more duration @ .005 than your typical well performaning 272 cam for 2.0L's.
~288 adv duration with a late Intake valve closing event and a similar IVO to the 272's/280's

I have been looking in to installing the bf272's. As they are in my closet. I have been conversing with a few cam reps(ones that dont want to sue me) and I think I am making progress in my education -- and - - Hopefully as well as my power levels/goals!
It really is to bad that FP didn't continue developement of the fp3 line of cams! They are the only cams I'm aware f that were designed specifically for a stroked 4g63 engine. I'm running a set of fp3 cams on my 2.3 3586 powered 1g and they gave my combination a huge torque curve.
