HKS 3037s KIT vs FP black
3037 is worthless except to HKS who seems happy to retail it for $5500+.
It has a T25 flange, its a 3071 with a diesel housing on it that HKS has recast. Tony made 432 on pump at 28psi and the car is WAY out of breath. It might make more on E85 or racegas but only because of timing. The HKS272s could probably stand to go away on that car but still simple fact is it is airflow limited.
On a 2.0l it spooled like a 35R and made stock turbo power on straight pumpgas. There is no way to justify any part of that kit, even bolting it on yourself is a waste of a day.

Not into debating this, but didn't HKS send thier TA car over here and kick all our ***** with it including our beloved AMS and gt35rs? I think it was a 2.3l 3037 or 36, or was that a different set up?

2.3 3037 turbo.
while it doesn't make massive amounts of power, it's not a BAD turbo.
that car only weighs 1060kgs though (2300ish lbs)
My tuner is making 380kwatw on a HKS3037 with 25psi boost on a 2.2 SR20 in his S14 drift car

^Seriously. Virtually everything on the CT230R is one-off. I think not even the F-Con they use has the same firmware they release to the public.
The 3037S is cool in a nostalgic way. I remember reading about it early last decade thinking that and those Greddy Turbo kits were so awesome. Today though, like JB said, there's no justification in buying the obsolete overpriced products they are.

At risk of sounding fan boy-ish, of all the "JDM" brands they spend the most on development and racing. Anyway, I'll never be convinced that smaller T3's of any brand are obsolete for all applications. I love a stock frame turbo for simplicity and for sure, they're awesome on the street but there must be a reason the entire racing world from LMP to rally uses 30rs.
