Everything has been switched to the new cores and filetted design.

Evan, it honestly looks like you could debur the piston and continue to use them. The hone marks look awful nice in that bore still after 2 years. The only IX cam failure we personally saw was a set of M3s. The M2s are reported to have no failures, the M3s several. Cosworth sent us a completely new set of cams for that customer...they are still on the shelf. Switched to S2s and havent looked back since.

I sent everything (rods pistions head ect. ) to JAM to have them spec and mic everything. I hope to reuse as much as I can but I will NOT sacrifice reliability or durability.

As for the HONE marks thats because this car doesnt move a inch till the temp gauge is fully warm and no boost till oil is near 80C. I think it help everything last longer. Good oil too (Motul 300V 15W 50)

Intresting on the M3 vs M2. Must be the stress from being more agressive... ???

Cams are so easy yet so hard to understand lol. Im still using a mild Mivec map too . lol Aw well.

Thanks Aaron.

lets count it...

deep radial grove on the OD, rifle drilled, cross drilled twice, no chamfer, and no gentle radiuses... it seems like someone took a class on how to make your FEA red everywhere.
