Evo 9 Cams?

so my friend just finished his supra build and said he would do cams on my car. i have an evo 9 mr and i have basic mods. exhaust, intake and fuel pump. what would be my best bet for cams if i just want more power. i wanted 2 get 350-360whp. and how would i drive the car to the tuner. is it safe to drive if i just take my time?

Cosworth or Kelford its some what of a toss up...and yea its fine to drive it to your tuner....i have know a few guys who are much more heavily mod'd and do not have a tune, you'll be fine

To be honest Evo IX cams dont give amazing power like the 8 cams do, you will see some gains but nothing crazy. Also you need Springs and Retainers if you get anything 272/272 or bigger.

Springs and retainers requirements are dependent on either lift of cam or the max RPM you will run. So stock RPM even with something more aggressive like a Kelford 272, you SHOULD be fine with stock springs and retainers. But, most will recommend you upgrade with something bigger like the Cosworth of Kelfords. Im looking to do this soon so post up when you get results!

if you get HKS or GSC 272 cams you dont need spring and retainers. I say go for GSC s2 very good cams, and HKS are next. Both cams have proven power and reliability/

you can hit 350 on a dynojet without cams, just get more bolt on and a good tune
