Severe 250 is what we use in our cars that see some good abuse.. We have never damaged the rear in any of our cars.. We have run 8s in 2 cars and low 9's for plenty of passes..

yeah your right,, i was just looking at our conversation through pms and with that new monster clutch you have and the way you are driving her id say 140 ,, i would not reccomend 140 if it wasnt because of the tripple disck and your unique driving style

you already paypaled me so dont worry if its extra for the 140 ill take care of it, i just need to make sure i note this so i remember,, at least shoot me a pm so i can remember to have the guys send 140 and not 90

I use it in my daily driver and I def felt improvement. Before I ran this stuff I had very notching shifting, but after it seemed to cure the problem and I run my car at the track from time to time while being my daily

Mike your case is an all out case

running 800 , 900 and some cases 1000 WHP,,,

evom we can throw all the bs of lab testing and scar testing, 4 ball wear testing to an oil,,, AWDmotosports are the people that test the parts in the real world, you can't get a better test that going down the track at 160 MPH

this is how these guys test our AMSOIL products,,,, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39T6XwxzOt8

Thank you both for the well wishes without going to far OT he will be here in Aug so racing this year isn't a priority. But like I said the 75-90 is perfect since I just daily drive the car. Oh and I already have the Baby Recaro being shipped.

I can't give much of a review but I have all AMSOIL fluids in my EVO. T-Case and Diff work much better together when cold. Notchiness (Spelling) is gone.

I will be putting this in my diff for the summer, I was too lazy to change it out in the cold.

I switched to amsoil 75w90 for my tc. My car is a dd with frequent autox, ~300 hp, and its worked great. I tried oem and redline, but after trying amsoil I wouldnt use anything else.

so what are the advantages between using the AMSOIL 75w-90/140 and the OEM brand fluids? How much more can the AMSOIL stuff really be because IMO mitsu stuff is effin expensive lol! Aside from differences in weight I don't really know much about the "science" behind different fluids.

Many advantages, synthetic VS non synthetic, OEM is non syn is a mineral oil, synthetics hold up to heat way much more than non syn, they also hold to abuse because of their ability to hold up to being broken down less quicker, either one will out perform OEM,, the 90 is more a DD , highway pulls , drag racing not much torque not higher than 500 LB TQ, the 140 can handle a little more since its structure is little thicker.

While I can appreciate your enthusiasm for someone using your products at an extreme, its hardly proof they are working well. Breaking the rear has ZERO to do with what oil is in it. It is 100% a function of exceeding the torque capacity of the parts. most of those cars see very little actual use. That is typical of a dedicated drag car. the gear teeth in these rear ends might look like crap and we wouldnt even know it. Now if you have a 900hp car thats made 200 passes and can open it up to see some nice shiney teeth with no wear then I will be listening.

dont knock ball wear testing. its actually very effective visual test that shows what is happening during metal to metal contact. drivetrains are 100% metal to metal contact. oils job is to keep surfaces from galling or overheating during this extreme contact. never does oil increase gear teeth strength.

Amsoil also make a 75w-110 (SVT) if you want more protection then the 75w-90 and feel that the 75w-140 might be over kill.

Well I don't drag race my car.. It's getting tuned right now on a standard 3582r setup.. Only thing I do is roll race because I really don't want to buy drivetrain parts for my car yet lol. Which do you guys suggest I should run? 75w-110 or 75w-140? Would there be any negatives to running the 140 if I didn't exactly "need" it? I'd rather spend a few extra bucks on fluids to help prolong the longevity of my t-case and rear diff.

gears rolling over each other are acting like oil pumps. They squish the oil out. Thicker oils take more power to squish. other wise there is no drawback. a few HP gains you longevity of gear face wear.
