I think the OEM gasket is a good idea, just because something is aftermarket that doesn't mean it's better, often it's worse

what amount of boost?

oem headgasket is really all you need man other stuff is waste of funds. mellon car is 704whp all day on stock gasket and its fine. You will be too. your TQ Number will determine if you need a built motor personally anybody thats going to be doing alot of aggressive driving with high boost and lots of power needs a built motor in my opinion. Thats a big turbo your running and sounds like your hungry for power. Built motor in your future hommie

if you rev that high on stock rod bolts you will throw a rod. I am exstremely shock that Mellon, Marti, or Rock has not told you that! -1 for you guys. His car will not make it reving that high Stock rod bolts should never never go over 8k.

Mikey, MrHouse already addressed that.

and I spun mine to 8500 for years on the stock shorty/head with a 35R and HKS 280 cams with stock springs and retainers I don't recommend it to my customers though.

You should look at getting a 4G64 block and using a 94mm Eagle crank w/ 156mm manley rods. That would be a LR2.2 and you could still rev 8.5 easy but the extra displacement will help spool your turbo.

S2s FTW

things went a bit different than my last post ,

my tuner sugested that rather than going for a full built , i should go for cams:

so i have odered the following:

GSC,s2 cams.
gates timing belt .
aem uego.
full blown twin pump.

head work already include:

supertech springs
ARP studs.
cometic gasket.

and he will increase the boost to 2.2 bar @ 8400RPM. (6265 turbo)

what do u guys think with a good tune the internals of jdm evo 9 can take this much boost???

since we don have a dino in pakistan can anybody tell me how much HP my evo 9 should be making ... just a guess?
