have anyone raised their boost and gotten a CEL? what is the reason for this?

 

did u pull the code? also is the cel falshing or steady?

 

i havnt pulled the code, cel is steady.

 

i heard its was normal to have a cel when boost is raised and has something to do with the egr, because of excessive or insuffiecent flow

 

raising boost shouldn't cause a CEL. Having the code would tell more. My guess would be a misfire but that is strictly a guess.

 

Raising the boost should not cause the SES (Service Engine Soon) light to come on. Get a diagnostic of the code and it will tell us more. It may be unrelated. Have you done any other modifications, or to the exhaust recently? Did you get a tune along with raising the boost?
