I saw 410whp on a Dyno Dynamics with an Evo VIII on stock FMIC. It had some huge turbo and didn't spool until after 5k RPM; overall a very lackluster setup.

It'll make POWER but not consistently. The Stock Turbo loses 2+PSI and heats up considerably. An AMS Unit losses less then 1 PSI and doesn't heat up that much at all.

No Cheapo, spend the money and get one. It PREVENTS you from lossing HP. The STOCK UNIT heats up and then your car pulls timing. Get an AMS Unit or a Buschur unit, both use Garrett cores and work perfectly.

I'm sure ETS and AMS both have them in stock. ETS especially always seems to keep an abundant supply sitting on the shelves and their's start under $500.

Agreed. The stock IC will make power...but it's not as efficient as an upgraded IC. It's always a good idea to upgrade the IC to avoid heat soak, run efficiently and to maximize potential later.

That is 460 on one dyno pull, it'll heat soak and loose power. The answer doesn't change, you pick up WHP on a stock FMIC especially at the top of 3rd GEAR where the OEM unit heats up.

What exactly does "no cut" refer to with respect to intercooler cores, Rogue? Just curious as I'd never seen this particular terminology before. Thanks.
