Hey guys, I have an 06 IX MR with the 6speed. Car was about 9000 miles and has never been abused. Ever since I got it, second gear has always grinded when going into it from 1 to 2, but never from 3 to 2. Is this a common problem? Anyone have any solution?

Might need a different fluid?

what fluid are you using?
and yes, a good transmission fluid will help smoothen the shifting of gears
amsoil would be a good choice if you intend to change the transmission fluid...

 

Check for proper clutch engagement.

Do you have a hot key for inserting this picture. lol (CNTRL + A). Its all over evom.

 

As I said, it has 9000 miles on it. Stock transmission oil and engagement its where it should be.

 

My MR is notchy in 2nd. I can feel it notch in. doesn't feel like a grind but just not smooth. My trans is freshly rebuilt as well. so less than 5k on it. I am going to try and adjust my pedal to see. I use diaqueen in my trans so all stock fluids. I do have an aftermarket clutch...
