Question For all u 100 octane mixers need some help

Ok well i found out last night the 76 by my work sells 100 octane in the jugs witch sucks cause its more thatn the pump but I know a place that does that to anyways.

I want ot keep a consitant 94 octane in the car and I know that 5 gallons of 100 and 9 gallons of 91 (total of 14 gallons of gas) = 94.2 octane.

BUt here is the problem I never run my car past halh tank ** mental thing plus I dont like to run deposits in the bottom of the tank in my car***

SO if I have halh a tank in my car that is at 94.2 octane how many gallons of 100 to I need to add to the tank before filling the rest with 91 octane so I can keep a consitant 94.2 octane rating in my car.

IF somebody can figure this out I wuld be verry great ful and my evo will be to

thank
chris

Well, assuming that when your needle says "1/2 a tank" that you are 7 gallons shy of a full tank, you just half everything you put into the tank.

Hence... 2.5 gallons of 100 and 4.5 gallons of 91.

Everytime you fill with 91 you get 4.5 gallons. add 2.5 gallons of 100 at the same time. Evetually you will figure when it is time to add the 7 gallons of fuel.

For mixing purposes. One gallon weighs 7.25lbs.

Water weighs in at 8lb/gal, gas is considerably lighter.

CaCalomino,
First, try mixing in a spell check/grammar check with your posts. How much is that 76 100, what size container does it come in, and what 76 do you buy it at? I have been buying unleaded 103 from Sunoco/Downs fuel in Temecula but the stuff is soooooo expensive: 28 bucks for 5 gallons out the door.
Coolguy 949, that is a "cool" chart. Thanks. I wonder if Sunoco has something like that at their website.

Actually, I should have said I buy the unleaded 104, not 103. VP Racing makes the 103 unleaded. It is called Motor Sport 103.

First off I dont care about spell check. So take your comment and shove it up your ***.

The juggs I buy are 5 gallon juggs and if u buy it in the unical 76 cans it's pretty expensive about $34 bucks But if u find a place that has it on teh pump its about $4.99 a gallon at the Norco 76 off the 15 freeway between 2nd adn 6th street off hammer. I was told if u want u can get a 55 gallon drum braught to your pad for under $300.

Can anybody tell me how to get a email attachment from my email transford so I can post it up? I have a list of about 50+ places and who has on pump and who does not etc. or just give me your email and I can foward it

chris
