Question Engine works only with Okada coils

Please help me, what is the problem?

After my engine has been strokered (2.3, Motec M800, 9.3:1 comp. ratio, 1.4 bar max. boost), the ignition was misfiring as the boost became higher, at about 3000-3500 rpm. Below and above that, it worked well.

We changed everything: ingition coils, spark plugs, fuel pump, etc, checked the cylinder head, etc. Nothing was helped.

Finally we tried the Okada Plasma direct coils, and the engine works perfectly. Changing back to factory coils, misfiring again at high boost. Changing to another factory coil set, same. Okada back - engine is perfect.

Why?

obviously because the increased spark with the Okadas.

Order a spoolin up COP and be done with the car. You should be using a COP anyway by now. Also tighten your plug gap a little.

I would say that's obviously a bad set of coils. However sometimes it can be quirky with these cars.

Its probably the plug gap as mentioned causing the issue. The Okadas are just making up for it

i bet he could get away with the stock coils but with a much smaller gap. but if he has the budget go for a COP.

We changed spark plugs and factory coils as well, tested 3-4 sets. Same problem.
