I would say no. If any thing I think the car would run smoother and be better under high boost . Then again I could be wrong. I installed my Sparktech non cdi cop when my hks dli II quit on me and didn't retune. It actually helped me because I was getting a slight misfire at higher rpm's with me using alchol.

Thank you Guys.
As i just wonder do i need to add some fuel due to the increase spark/heat generated by the after market coils.

I dont have an answer to your question, but different ignition systems have different delay time. Delay is the time when your ignition output fires, till the coil actually fires. CDI are usually faster than inductive, requiring less ignition delay compensation. Standalone ecus like ie Vi-PEC have their own adjustable delay time. You lock ignition in software to ie 10 degrees BTDC and rev the engine. Normally when you have 0 ignition delay setup in software, you can see the timing retarding more and more the higher you rev it. When ignition delay is setup correct, timing is rock stable to the value you locked it to at high rpms also.

Bump>>>> I too, would like to know, and ask an expert to chime in, about getting retuned ....I have a brand new spark tech non cdi cop, that I just received for xmas and haven't installed it yet, because I recently moved back south, and far from my tuner... My friend needed his retuned because of other parts that were installed.... I am second guessing installing mine, until I can get a definite answer from my tuner or maybe I will email Craig @ Spark Tech tomorrow with my car's specs
