Heat protection for oil pain from DP?

Hey,
As most of you know, aftermarket downpipes run closer to the oil pan it seems and can heat up the oil b/c of this; I guess this is not good. What have you guys been doing, if anything, to shield this heat? Some people have wrapped their downpipes w/ stuff like Thermotech heat wrap -- the process seems pretty tedious and might require taking out the downpipe to do cleanly. RMR gives a stick on heat shield to place on the oil pan but I've heard that just melts/falls off? Any other suggestions -- specifics appreciated. Thanks.

I dont think its a big deal but you could just cust some thin gauge sheet metal and worm clamp it to the DP

i ordered the DP from Ultimate racing (ultimate-racing.com) with the thermal wrapping on it. Everything is hand made, (mine was actually hand made to order) and comes with a 5 year warantee should anything not work.

Just as a side note, they also sell a test pipe that doesn't trigger the CEL

Thermal Barrier Coating

check out

I've used their Thermal Barrier Coating on my WRX's up and downpipe - awesome stuff!

Will probably use it on the EVO too!
