I think this is an interesting discussion. I linked a pic of the combustion chamber from Headway Performance and see it is much different. It says it is from the EVO so I assume this is how they shape out. Why is this shape so much different then what Head Games is posting?

Don't think that a finished CC. My head and Ted's are both from Headway and niether looked like that. I'll find some pics...
Is there anything you can do when working the CC that could affect spark and how well it works?
I'm not actually referring to your heads but its just a general CC related questions.
Thanks.

Very nice. I do minor port and polish on heads and never touched the bowls because I didn't want to chance hitting the guides.
That pic of Headway's head seems unfinished. The bowl is not even smoothed out.

It's definitely unfinished.
There is a video of it online maybe on his youtube vids. It was a headway head. And most people that go to the extent of getting head work done are going to be running turbos to there max and pushing limits etc. IMO if a head is done right you will gain power, not ever lose it.... I know im pushing my 850R decently at 40-41psi and i seen gains from the work i had Head Games perform on my head.

agreed...we have never lost power from a head..it would make the power at a lower boost level if we are at the breaking point of where the turbo makes power at. If you lose power, you have other issues going on there.
If the turbo compressor is at its limit, a ported head isn't going to magically suck more air out of it - simple physics.
If the turbine side is in a high PR situation, a ported head isn't going to magically push more air through it - simple physics. Anything that facilitates reversion in such instances (e.g. big head, big cams, etc,.) can decrease power. This is basic FI knowledge.
Anyway, this isn't a discussion about Headway, their CNC work, or their track record in competitive racing. It's about Headgames' CC procedure. Carry on...

Dave how about you post those results of the comparison you told me about?? Might shed some more light on how you know a little something about what your doing. I know i was very impressed but i will of course leave that up to you if you want to let that cat out of the bag or not. Until then my lips are sealed

It is coming soon
