Education on Comp turbos

I still on my quest to learn as much about every option I have when it comes to chosing my new setup. I've learned about HTA's, PTE's and now I'm trying to learn about Comp turbos and how the would perform compared to the other two. I know that MAP runs them, who else? Based upon crusing around their webpage, I've found four different Turbo's I would like to learn about

CT4 64 Triple Ball Bearing Extended Blade
CT4 66 Triple Ball Bearing
CT4361 Triple Ball Bearing
CT3 67 Triple Ball Bearing

If you or anyone you know has ran or are running one of these turbos, tell me about it!

Watching this... interested in the 3 bearing center.

I thought they were working on some billet wheels for them, but that was awhile ago.

We have used the CT3 61 which is just like a 35R spool up is before 4000 rpm. The CT3 67 is like a 37R. We have a customer with the CT43 72 which for a big turbo spools up fast(5500 rpm, better than a 6765PTE) not sure about the power level but his 1600cc injectors on E85 are maxed at 34psi. I am waiting to get an ETT turbo from them. If you really want to try one let me know as I am a distributor for Comp.

I can call Justin tomorrow and get the numbers for that turbo. I would guess around the 700-750hp range. I think some of the guys over there worked at BW at one time and flow numbers for the 366 is 80lbs(800hp) and the 362 is 70lbs(700hp) or more

I want my car to get 50mpg while laying down as much torque as a chipped F350 and for my turbo to spool quicker than a supercharger.

You can't have everything man...if they had a turbo that does that, it would be flying off the shelves right now.

True statement. I would love to see the CT367 vs. HTA3582. Both turbos rated at 700hp. I would be willing to bet the HTA2582 will out spool the CT367. Both would have to be on a .82 housing to be fair

OP: I have not seen any info on the CT464 where did you see that? With the extended tips does it flow more than the 66? That would be a good deal and great turbo for 650-700hp

from what ive heard, and most probably know this, comp turbos are essentially reworked garrett turbos so they should be similar in power output and reliability, although i havent seen too much as far as a quicker spool due to the triple bearing. In for info

What is the difference from the Comp Turbochargers and Garrett? It seems like the Comp turbo stuff is Garrett wheels and center housing with a custom bearing and compressor cover?

That billet CHRA is pretty cool though.

I wish somebody made something in between a GT30 and a TR30 but sized more like a 35R. Like a light weight cast stainless center housing (compared to titanium on the TR30 and cast iron on the GT30) that was oil cooled and ball bearing. "Modern" high pressure aerodynamics on the compressor and a well matched turbine with the latest high efficiency aerodynamics (maybe even something based on mixed flow if it provides gains in efficiency and airflow). Light weight and reasonably compact compressor housing built around inlet and outlet sizes commonly used for that power level. Stainless thin wall turbine housing, hell, maybe something even twin scroll...

^ Nice. Wonder what it is rated at? The 66 is 675hp. It would be sick if makes the same power with better spool. That would be a good question to ask.

I think they are Borg Warner blades and have nothing to do with Garrett. Keep in mind I'm still learning these bad boys.
