Rattling...Downpipe?

I have an 06 evo gsr with about 50k on it and I was just tuned recently. Before and after the tune at idle I can hear rattling coming from underneath the car from what it sounds like. When I put my downpipe on the car would rattle from time to time but it seems to be more apparent now. I have already put washers on the tie bars, but I dont think that is helping much. Is there anything else I can do and could it be rattling from somewhere else beside where the dp necks down to the tie bars?

^ i know the clearance is tight there too, but I have my dp wrapped and everything, is there anyway around it or I just need a new dp? Do you think for sure it is the tcase?

there are plenty that fit with a lot of clearance. I have one in my garage i'd sell you that has clearance. With wrap, even if it hits, its going to rattle. Typically the cross bar and tcase are the only 2 places the DPs like to hit

if you have a spark plug fouler for a ses light fix, then check to see if that might be hitting as well

It could also be your intercooler piping, sometimes aftermarket kits don't fit the best and I've seen them rub before as well.

another problem i seem to be running into is sometimes when i turn the ignition over to start the car it is a little hesitant and doesn't start up fast like usual. Is this a sign that my mini battery is dying? The rattle is also there when I turn the car on, as in as I turn over the ignition i can hear it rattling from underneath

I'm not sure... I think it may have been a turbo xs or something along those lines. It held 550hp on the last turbo setup before i swapped to what i am runningnow.

Put more spacers on the cross members....i have 3/4inch blocks on mine to keep my massive 3.5inch DP from hitting the crossmembers, and even then, it still touches.

Sorry for the newb question(s), but where are the crossmembers in conjunction to the dp? Is it attached to the lower control arms? Any pics of your setup? Where did you buy your spacers?

He's talking about the tie bars you originally noted having washers on! Add more washers and get longer bolts.
