I found out today that when the engine threw the rod through the block, something came out with enough force to crack the transfer case housing. Everything inside the t-case is good however.....I cant seem to find any junk transfer cases and I really dont want to fork the cash over for a whole t-case.

I don't believe you can buy just the housing. I would call Shep or TRE and ask if it is possible, otherwise it looks like your shopping for a core. May I ask what happened during the failure? Was it with the HTA Green? Were you tuning or recently tuned? Log it? You can PM me as to not clutter up the thread.

The engine blew the #3 rod out the front and back of the block. It also shattered a piston in the process........something flew out the back at a high enough rate of speed that it dented the t-case housing. I have a pic of it that i'll post later on today.......The smaller 'cap' on the housing is cracked, and the mid section (not the long part) of the housing has a dent in it as well...

they will not sell any part of the tcase. only the whole unit. sucks man.

 

talk to shep he might be able to help you out, if not time for an upgrade

 

I think i have someone that has the t-case housing parts I need......gonna try that route before spending the big coin....
