Modifying valve cover with AN fittings

Can AN fittings be welded onto the stock Evo valve cover? It's magnesium, so does that make it a problem?

What size would be preferred? If anyone has pics or tips, please post them up

I want to help the crankcase breath better.

would not weld mag. bad idea. If you a set on doing this drill and tap use a lots of cutting oil to keep heat down. Tap with size you want then use a sealant on fittings.

this stuff works GREAT. takes super high pressures and pretty high temps.

How much crank case pressure do you have? We use ours on a lot of cars with no problems yet.

I can't seem to twist the effer out, I must not be using enough man-strength or the right tool

The most common I've seen is -10 on evo valve covers.
Yes, please do not weld magnesium.......

^ Thank You.
I'm after relieving as much pressure as possible with room to grow in the future.

I drilled and tapped mine. I used a cut off wheel to get the nipples off then a hole saw to make the cuts. Then I got out my 1/2"npt tap and SLOWLY cut the threads. Went to my local speed shop and picked up two 1/2"npt to -8an earls fittings. You will need the hose, catch can, and other misc. fittings also. Good luck.

I'd use a press fit aluminum fitting of the size you want.
