Today a friend and I finished rebuilding my motor. But when i tried to start it i got nothing. The starter sounded, but the cams and everything else did not move. does anyone have any ideas what may have caused this to happen?

Its an evo 8 w brand new 2.4 block....

 

did the starter crank, or just whirred?

 

Check timing, grounds?

 

check timing, vacuum leaks and spark, good luck figuring it out..!

 

the starter is work but wont crank the flywheel or suttin cuz then i tried to start and the sound liek stater n the cams wont even moving.. its jus weird.. everything is perfect and timing belt is perfect.. damn it..

 

can you turn the crank yourself? should be able to put a rachet ...i belive the passenger side and turn the crank with a 1/2 inch

 

yah, i did tha.. its perfect moving smooth and no hit valves... Maybee the starter is no good after i took it off cuz the old 2.0 block was blew out maybe it cause the starter no good?

 

The starter work good now and......... >>>>>>>>>>> when i turn the ingition on and the lights wont come off like service engine , battery, anti lock, brake lights wont come off then i turn ignition on and wont even start up.. Need help pleasee...

 

and tried to start the motor up and no spark.... what to do? coil is no good or?

 

forget it.. i got it.. cuz i put wrong way of sensor for spark by the crank it was backward so now everythign perfect now.. lol
