Those e70 numbers are pretty low for a DJ and your kinda mods.

Was something holding you back?

Well, its been a while since I've updated this thread. I've had a lot of problems since getting the car back, a lot of stuff had to be gone through, etc.

A couple weeks ago, got the car back, everything finally working as it should. Finally able to enjoy what I've been working on for almost two years.

Jump forward to this past wednesday, opening of the track.
I was taking it pretty easy on the car, wasn't launching, just getting a feel for things.
On my third or fourth pass, I got going, and at about 4k rpm in first gear it sounded likea shotgun went off in the car. I lost drivetrain power, car was still running. I pulled over to the wall, and just sat there waiting.
Got pushed off the track, with red fluid pouring out the bottom. Got a flashlight, and found a very large crack in my transfercase.
I dont know what caused this to happen, but at this point, I'm done. I will probably wait a week or two, and then start parting her out and getting ready to move on.

dude that sucks to hear. How much have you got on that shep stage 3 t-case? I figured it would last alot longer and be able to take more of a pounding than that.

I know how you feel with having a new build with issues and after spending so much money and to keep dumping money into it without even able to drive it sucks ***. I am looking to buy a second car(cheapo) and put the evo on the backburner for 6months or so while I play catchup on some debt while taking time off from the car will get me back into the spirit after not messing with it so long.

good luck, if you end up parting her I will keep a lookout. Some nice parts you got there.

Well I bought a new ring and pinion, and had the quaife diff installed. So enough to make me sick.

Most people dont know everything I went through with this car because 1) threads got deleted or 2) I just kept it quiet so it didnt get deleted or start big arguments online
