Hole in my stock intake manifold wtf..

I was doing some part throttle driving and car felt great for 95 degree weather. When I came to a stop and did a half throttle pull this time I noticed that my wastegate was opening at 6,600 rpms instead of 4,800 rpms and the car felt underpowerd and when I saw my afr gauge In the 11,s at part throttle I decided to have a boost leak test done asap..

I found the throttle body hose popped off amd then I heard a loud hissing sound around my throttle body area and thought it was my shaft seala leaking but i put my ear closer and I couldn't believe my eyes there was a hole in my intake manifold about a bit bigger then tic tac size.I took it to a fab welder to weld the hole and he stick welding a plate over it and it came out pretty good for having it on the car.r

I asked if he have seen something like this before and he said never. He said that the stock manifold is good for 800 whp all day long without it cracking. It looks like it is a factory flaw in the casting of the manifold and the funny thing is I never is was driving around and getting tuned over ten times with 4 different turbo setups.lol. .Has anyone ever seen or has this issue before and what os usually the power loss on this type of issue??

Stock non-ported intake manifold? I would have contacted Mitsubishi of North America and gotten a new manifold. Of course I have a "few" spares sitting around so it wouldn't have been a problem for me. Post some pics if you don't mind, I would like to see where this happened.
