I am purchasing a new tial q blow off valve and i don't know what psi spring i need ? I have a fully built 2.0 with a 6262!

 

What turbo kit, how much power are you making?

 

650 wheel and Precision 6262 turbokit

 

The spring is for pressure release..

Ie.. If your at 25psi and you have a 18psi spring it won't hold boost as well as a 22psi spring and so on.

EDIT: that's for a wastegate actuator....

 

well the site only lets you choose 6psi-12 psi springs!

 

My bad I'm thinking about WG actuator..

BOV is still a valve to release pressure.. The stronger the spring to more in will hold..

 

Bov spring is just for driveabilty. How fast it pulls the piston. Softer spring(less aggressive driving/piston travel) Harder/higher psi spring means it will pull the piston up super fast in vacuum conditions. At WOT the spring doesn't do much.

 

so what psi spring do you think i should get?

 

Do you want it to make more or less sound?

 

I would say 8psi. Guessing.

Hopefully those that have it can chime in and give feedback on what spring worked for them.

So you want a softer spring, 6-8. I would go with either 8 or 9. Your choice.
