twin-plate clutches are great, if you are going to make greater than 320bhp you should get one.

ChrisEvo, who does your car?

3171: Who does your car in Singapore? Do you know which shop in Singapore sells good aftermarket modification parts for Evos? I travel to Singapore frequently and hope to get some new stuff there on my next trip.

ChrisEVO: What twin-plate clutch are you considering to get? I heard Exedy is good. I'm considering the Ralliart Twin Plate clutch. Hope that's a good choice.

Not considering anything yet because of lack of $$$ I want to keep it stock for the moment but I have big plans for it in the future. I don't want to do mod by mod, I want to mod everything in one big project.

3171: Thanks, will try to give him a call when I go there.

ChrisEVO: Yeah, that's right...wait till the clutch wears out. Same as what I'm doing. But the new clutch has really been tempting me...hehehe.

3171: Actually, I have a Ralliart Twin Plate Clutch arriving end of this month. I'm just waiting for that and waiting for the stock one to really wear out (and get my money's worth). ChrisEVO and I have the same problem for our evo7. Ever since we got the car, the clutch is really sliding a bit and the friction point is too high. And also, the car doesn't launch. But according to , they said the faulty thing on all first batch evo7s is the Clutch Master Cylinder. So I'm thinking of changing that one too to avoid any future clutch problems.

Tanders ,
Did you ever get your clutch? Which type did you get, if you did? Mine has already gone out and I need to get on quick. About this problem with the clutch. when is the first batch made. Mine is actaully made in Nov 2001. So I might be in the same boat.
Please advise, Thanks. Victor

the clutch master cylinder should be working fine if you can move your clutch, since the hydraulics are usually fixed, it is the adjustment under the dash where the clutch pedal connects to the master cylinder that needs to be adjusted.

ChrisEVO,

Is that the clutch you are going with? I will be installing one early next week, since mine is gone, completely. Thats why I have been searching for the best clutch to buy for our E7's. Nobody here in the US makes one for the E7, since its not out yet. But I have a funny feeling that there will be a great demand for one if they dont last any longer than 2-5k miles. I am calling some manufactor's here to see if any of them want to make a clutch kit for the E7 for the US. There is not a lot of use of the twin plate clutch designs here in the US, most everyone uses the single plate designs. Can you get good prices on twin plates clutches where your at?

Thanks, VIctor
