Lookin for a new clutch
Lookin for a new clutch
I have a 06 evo mr and I need a new clutch, I don't plan on taking it to the track or anything and I'm going to keep it stock for a while. What's the best clutch for my situation?? I've been looking at act clutchs any oppinions??
Exedy Twin hands down. Do it right the first time or do it twice. It also comes with a flywheel.
I just ordered one along with a new throw out bearing, STM clutch fork stop, and SS clutch lines.
If you get a multiplate clutch get a clutch fork stop to prevent it from popping out during hard shifting which could be a problem.
However, you are looking for a stockish clutch and do not plan on pushing it, I still suggest the Exedy Twin. More expensive, yes, but worth it. And in the future if you want to modify the car, which I am sure you will get sucked into lol, your clutch will be able to handle it and you will not have to do the job twice.

If you know you are going to start making serious power in the future, then go with the twin now. If you don't think you will need it or it will be a while before you build it, just go with a cheaper single for the time being.
Im thinking about going with the stage one exedy clutch kit, if i decided to go with that should i keep my stock flywheel and just get it resurfaced or should i upgrade my flywheel and if i upgrade it what flywheel should i run with the stage one exedy clutch kit???
