Block - What is the port for?

Not the one with the drill in it, the one with the large HEX grub screw.

Is it a oil pressure source?
Could i use this to feed my Mivec soleniod?? (evo 8 block, evo9 head).
I'll use the stock oil pressure switch location (drill hole) for my full range oil pressure sensor.

Cheers, Mike

that goes into the water jacket I believe. You could do a braided line from the filter housing to the mivec solenoid. I have been thinking about putting together a kit to do this. seams pretty popular to swap blocks around from viii's and ix's.
