As long as none of your gears are too worn, thats a good price for the work that would be done.

I just spent 2100 on my transmission rebuild, but I needed a bellhousing, reverse gear, and second gear aswell.

I had shep build my trans.

 

An '03 evo's transmission needs a lot of TSBs/improvements. The price of the rebuild is if your transmission is in 'good' shape. If something's broken, most likely it'll be a lot more expensive.

TRE did an excellent job on my rear diff, but they are hard to reach, and have a slow turnaround time (much different than their website indicates).

Shep did my transmission, all said and done it was $1800 ish. Easy to reach and is a good business man.

i actually just sent a email over the shep i have been hearing alot of good feedback about them so hopfully ill hear back soon.. theres no major issues with the tranny every once in awhile ill get a reverse grind and somtimes not be able to downshift but very rarely happens. thanks for the info.!
