Evo 5/6 radiator in and 8?

Is is possible to put a rad from a 5/6 in my 8. I want to do this b/c the outlet is straight across instead of the S-bend, as i have a tube exh. manifold. Thanks. and i know i can get the mishimoto one for a little under $300. looking for a bit smaller price tag...

You will also need to make a mounting bracket for the stock fan or just get a slim fan.

it bolts right in no problem. all you will need is a newer top hose. i got my mishimoto evo 4/5/6 radiator for a little over $200. cant beat that

I thought the Evo 7,8, and 9 had the radiator hose located to the center of the radiator to make better use of the radiator.

I run a mishimoto half size radiator in my car. Technically its for a 2000 Honda Civic Si but I hade the lower hole moved over just a bit to clear the front engine mount. The top lines up perfectly so you can run a straight hose with no modification there and be good for a front facing turbo setup!

My reasoning for wanting to modify a evo 4/5/6 lower radiator outlet to the pass side as much as possible. You got the inlet on the top of one corner, and the outlet on the bottom of the opposite end.

doesnt matter where inlet and outlets are on tanks. that has nothing to do with efficiency.
the 8 is the way it is to clear the plastic cold air intake which cannot be used with 4-6 radiators.

Yeap, should work perfect. I have that too. Works wonders, just make sure yu purchase the 6 hoses, NOT the 8s.
