What about changing the exhaust housing, the 9.8T, and replacing it with a larger unit like the one found on an EVO 6 GSR (thank god we have those over here), the 10.5T ..... sure it must be a bolt on mod and it should make a little more top end power right ?

I am kind of leaning towards the SAFC myself.

If you want user adjustability and are going to frequent the track once a month, you will love the SAFC and all it can and can't do for you. The whole thing about the necessity of a wideband to tune is myth. SOme of the best tuners just use a pocketlogger as opposed to a wideband. Of course a wideband would give you more information in addition to the pocketlogger so it wouldn't hurt, but not all that necessary. The SAFC is probably the easiest to learn to tune. I've never had any experience with the Emanage or PowerFC, but neither have a lot of tuners since there are not too many that can tune the Emanage or PowerFC for the EVo.

Tuned properly, the SAFC can make the same, safe, reliabe power and torque as a flashed car. But if you decide to Flash, know what you are getting into. Strike that, regardless of which method you choose, make sure you know what you are getting into.

The AFC can make the same peak power but nowhere near the same midrange power the flash can. I wouldnt mind having an AFC in addition to a flash.

S-AFC is decent, but it can't control timing.

And holy raise the dead thread, Batman. There's a post in here from Boost Solutions
