Yea I just bought the car so its coming out of there pocket. They said they ordered a new throttle body but keep telling me its on back order which is driving me insane! You really think it could just be as simple as the TB shaft seals?

 

yes thats usually all that go bad in the throttle bodies. its stupid how they put garbage parts in our cars so we hafta fix it eventually

 

Okay so i literally just finished replacing the seals and took it for a test run. That definitely got me back some power but my car is still whistling!!! Now what?

 

You have a boost leak somewhere else then. Check all your worm gear clamps. Especially the one the connects your diverter valve to the UICP. That one is a notorious leaker.

 

I know this is an old thread, but I have a Works Aperture 2 TB that came on my car. I've started to get the whistling sound at part throttle, when I move the throttle body by hand with the car running, I def hear it coming from the TB. Does anyone if the Works TB uses stock seals? Or do I have to get them from Works? What about the MilSpec?
