Good luck with your build, you cant go wrong with a 2.4 LR either.

If your going to eventually go with a big turbo set up, id say go 2.1

If your going to stay with a smaller turbo (black) 2.4 all the way. The black wont have the top end like a bigger turbo, so being able to rev high wouldnt be staying in the powerband. A LR2.4 and black is a perfect set up.... but maybe im biased.

Your right it is the best of both worlds, but most people can't afford it. A forged billet 94 mm crank increases the price of the engine build by an avg of 1500.00.

you dont need a billet crank. an eagle crank is $650 or less and is more than strong enough.

No thanks, I wouldn't use a eagle crank, for a high hp build.

If you are planning run gas and E85, the choices seem to be 1450s or 2150s. Both will also require dual pumps to really max the setup.

assuming a double pumper, how much power are the 1,450's safely good for on e85?

Seems as though they should run out somewhere just north of 720whp depending on how much boost it takes to get there. Mikey's combo was at 83-85% at 675 on a scale of 100% so he had some more. His was making the power as a combo of compression and VE as much as anything else. He was at 63 or 64% when he was at 535 so it seems pretty consistent.
