Works stage 2 clutch....overkill?

I plan on having a decent setup(cams, high compression pistons, all bolt-ons) for n/a and was just wondering if this would be an overkill for my needs?

Nope. You'll be good. You plan on going big with the engine, so don't be cheap with the clutch.

PS - where you getting the pistons from? RRM doesn't make them anymore, and Buschur's are barely high compression.

^Good question. You definitely don't want to go cheap with the drivetrain. Come on, all that money for pistons, cams, labor, might as well spend it on a good clutch.

No labor costs...I'll be doing all the work. The pistons I got from boe when he decided to sell his. 10.5:1 , the ones fromm RRM

No way I want to go cheap with my car. I think my wallet made me ask this question.

Did you see any torque gains in these? Also, in what RPM range do you feel it kick in?

You can try to find a 97-00 Mirage 1.8 4g93 clutch and you might find more variety but the works stage 2 is what I wanted until I found the clutchmasters stage 3 which is comparable to the works 2. i think i found it cheaper plus it comes with the bearing and alignment tool.

Hint - the Mirage bearing will not fit on your Lancer. So make a note of that.

I don't think RPW's pistons are forged though. I'd have to double check.
