Clutch fork stop with Competition Twin Disc??
So I'm about to order the clutch fork stop from STM and I as I looked at the pictures on their site to see how it's mounted and so forth I realized I may have a problem....
I have the Competition twin and it converts the car to a push type clutch. The bracket arms that mount on the slave cylinder look like they won't allow for the clutch fork stop to be mounted. If anyone knows what I'm talking about or has used the STM fork stop with this clutch then please help me out! Thanks.

I believe the clutch fork stop is only for Exedy Twin/Triple plate combinations that have a problem when shifting really fast with the retaining "wave" clip popping out. Which in turn means you need to remove your trans and re-install the clip, or possibly even a new clip.

when you get a push style as stated above you dont need the clutch fork stop. My tilton(push style) i had didnt need that, it engages and disengages in a different style then the normal(pull style) clutches like the exedy.
as for the lock out issues it could be a number of issues and i would suggest talking with whom ever does your work and ask them what the causes could be so that you can figure them out and fix that issue quick

you dont need a clutch fork stop you need a clutch pedal stop to keep from overextending the clutch diaphragm...which cause excess wear on the TOB the diaphragm and clutch lockout issues...
Call STM and ask them..they will give your great information.

p.s. STM also has free shipping on all orders until the DSM shootout as I saw a post from Emery earlier.

Thanks for all the help guys! A buddy of mine has been talking to STM the last few days for me about this issue and I also talked to my mechanic. I'm sure we'll get this figured out soon. I've only had lockout a few times. Other than that the clutch has done really well and grabs really well! It's a noisy clutch but that doesn't bother me.
