Is this a good 2.3 setup?

-Manley Turbo Tuff Rods
-Wiseco 1400 HD pistons w/ coated big pins
-4G64 Crank
-Clevite bearings
-arp L19 main studs
-OEM gasket kit
-Balance Shaft Delete Kit(who makes a good balance shaft delete kit?)
-Fluidampr pulley

any recommendations for head work? as far as porting/polishing? valves? anything else I might be missing? getting the crank knife edged? nitrate coating?

would this be an ideal build for road racing? I will most likely be using 91oct at the track and e85 on the street as well. I want this build to be bulletproof or near bulletproof and I hope to have it done by next spring/summer so any advice, suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated

as far as turbos I'm thinking of going:
-bbk full
or
-hta green

MAYBE an fp black if I decide to do a double pumper and massive injectors

and I'll be switching to some gsc s2's from my cosworth m2's as well

this is what I'm currently working with:

use AMS's balance shaft delete

I have no comment on the other stuff since I have never used it.

I recommend Supertech Dual valve springs with the valves, comes with titanium retainers. The dual valve spring with help valve float which help more for higher raving motors but its worth it. Buschur and AMS us them in therr cars.

Show me more pictures of the girl in the avatar and I will be happy to give recommendations...

(or you could just find my build thread since I am using a lot of the same components.)

Wiseco HDs and Manley i beams seem to be a bit of overkill for an HTA Green or BBK. You could get by with h beams and standard wisecos for that power level.

I'd rather have something in their that can handle a lot more incase I change my mind and do a fp black or something similiar instead

Then yes, it is a good build. Just make sure you have someone who knows what they are doing build it for you.

That's some quality advice right there. I'm sure you'll be able to rev that stroker to 9k RPM without any problems with the dual springs... Valve float? On a stroker? Seriously? Do you read what you post? (giving advice about high reving motors toa guy asking about his stroker setup idea)

To the OP: Why GSC S2 vs Cosworth M2's? There's little gains to be had for the amount of money you're putting in there.... Also if you're looking for a roadrace / autocross setup, maybe check out the new HKS turbo aswell.

no such thing as overkill in this game

always good to keep room for future upgrades

I was thinking that the s2's would have a better gain on the overall curve and maybe some more up top as well no?

and yeah I'll check out the hks turbo once a bit more testing is done and perhaps a few more results

I hear ya on that, but tons of people like to stick with the faster spooling turbos and the OP never suggested moving on to something as big or bigger than a 35R or Black.
