looks very good!

Adam, how do you stop the grit (from media blasting) getting down inbetween the port and the valve guide? or do you coat your ports, then press in new guides and then cut your valve seats?

Cheers, Mike

Mike,

Depending on what stage head you purchase we have a different procedure for each. I listed the procedure below;

Stage 4
1. Porting
2. Press in guides
3. Cut the seats
4. Media blasting
5. Clean/Wash/Degrease routine
6. Use detailing picks to clear crevices
7. Ceramics
8. Resurface 45° on valves
9. Resurface 45° on valve seats
10. Assemble

Stage 5
1. Press in guides
2. Porting
3. Cut the seats
4. Media blasting
5. Clean/Wash/Degrease routine
6. Use detailing picks to clear crevices
7. Ceramics
8. Resurface 45° on valves
9. Resurface 45° on valve seats
10. Assemble

thanks adam.
i'm just in the situation now where i got my CC and ports coated, and there is grit everywhere... i've got 90% of it out, but it takes sooooo much time and patience.

Very nice work!

Cheers, Mike

I actually have a 2 piece head on my MX bike (it is a 2 stroke however). The combustion chamber has a bronze dome that is surrounded by a water jacket, which fits into a an Al outer head. Its a pretty interesting design which is supposed to prevent preignition.

That head/ port work looks awesome btw!

But that has nothing to do with its toxicity. Its just plain old toxic stuff.

This customer wouldn't be spending his hard earned money on upgraded seats without some big aspirations
