why am i only boosting 9psi?

Hey guys i have a problem with the Evo. I had an HKS SSQV and i was running 21psi, up until the BOV crushed inside which then caused the evo to overboost, so i took it off and put back the Evo 9 DV. Since the switch i am now only boosting 9-10psi...I've check all the lines and everything seems to be where it is.

Mods are: 3" DP, RRE HFC, HKS CBE, 255 fuel pump, Dejon MBC, EVO 9 DV, Greddy UICP/LICP, oem airbox, Evo 9 Turbo/wastegate.

Any input is greatly appreciated

Woah that's weird. Double check everything to the wastegate, and whatever you use for boost control.

Could also be if you have the air guide on your factory intake. Check to make sure you have the plastic push pins holding the vent part down. I've seen it happen countless times that once you get moving the wind pushes the guide up against the hood and doesn't allow a lot of air in.

Sounds like a boost leak to me.

You said you changed back to your evo 9 dv. Are you sure its completely in there and tightened down?

Yes everything is tightened down and all the lines are properly placed. MBC - Side nipple's to the wastegate and the bottom nipple is to the turbo source right?

Check your cat..it could have crapped out on you. That happened to me and I could only boost to 11-12 psi. Remove cat and run with out or and see if you boost higher.

I'm running the RRE Rally HighFlowCat...it's actually a test pipe but it looks like a CAT so i highly doubt that's my problem.

same happened to me, but my car would run at like 6psi lol check that your boost lines are connected the proper way, and make sure none of them flew off, especially the one that connects to bov
