Look into the OS giken clutchs. I just installed a R2CD in a 35r car a few weeks ago with the push conversion. Best clutch I have ever drove, its quite, you can barely hear the floater, drives great, no chatter, drives better than a exedy twin for sure, and shifts way better with no stupid clip to pop off. Its a pricy clutch but the best DD clutch out there I have seen yet.

I will never run or recomend a pull style clutch.

But when they are problematic, they suck. Nothing is more frustrating than having a clutch lock you out and there is no solution. You have to adjust it, doesn't work, then pull it and see what the deal is.

If you are saying that the clutch fork is just another part to buy, your right, but for 50 bucks and a guarantee that you will never have another problem with the ring clips popping then that is perfect. I would rather pay that 50 bucks, have a clutch that can hold more than that ACT, have 0 lockouts and be able to put great mileage on it. I would say that is a 50 dollars well spent. I realize you don't need this for the ACT, but I have felt the problems with them in the past, on my Honda, in an Evo, and it goes on.

These people aren't lying:

(Look at the poll on the third one and you will see that over 45 people have had lockouts with various clutches. That is over half of the total people who posted in the poll! Around a 75% failure rate is terrible!)

I could go on and on about ACT and my experiences with them, but I think the threads above speak for themselves. I don't know about you, but I don't want to have to pull my tranny multiple times to fix a clutch that should work right the first time...
I think you missed he has the UNSPRUNG disc.
shifts fantastic compared to unsprung. no springs to fail.
fantastic clutch for the money. better in many ways over exedy twin

I used both the super single and twin in my evo 1. both clutches were very smooth. both wore out friction material faster than any clutch i have used. and if you follow my clutch posts i have tried virtually every clutch on the market. hopefully they have updated their material.

The R2CD is a great design though. And their push conversion smokes the ATS/Carbonetics design.

Also RPS pull clutches dont use exedy clips on their pull clutches. They have their own design that cant pop out or break. The down side is you cant pop it back out from front of PP either. you have to remove PP from fly to get trans back out. no biggie as long as you are aware of it.

The issues we were having with the Exedy triple were that it would slip if we didnt "warm it up" my customer felt it was to hectic for him and ditched it for a QM twin. When we pulled the exedy triple carbon out of the car it looked great for having 15+ track passes, dyno runs etc. @ 675 HP.

I have not used a RPS clutch, but it sounds better than the exedy!

How many miles did you get out of your os gikens? We have about 800 miles on this one so far, hope it last a while cause it sure drives nice!
